Requirements for Driver Education

1. No absences. If you miss, time has to be made up.
2. No fourteen-year-old students, unless they are getting a school permit.
3. Must have a driving permit before driving.
4. All assignments must be turned in on the due date.
5. State manual test must be passed by a score of 80% or better.
6. The driving is outcome based. This means that a student could drive as many as 5 hours or as few as 2 1/2 hours. Over 5 hours of driving will result in an extra charge. (which rarely happens)
7. There will be no refund after class has begun.
8. Time in class is required. The student must have twenty hours of classroom with the teacher.
9. If a student meets all class requirements they will receive a wavier to present to the D.M.V. The waiver entitles the student to get their license at sixteen years of age. (P.O.P. license) An insurance completion certificate will be issued to give your insurance company if they offer discounts for driver education.
